Cherry Blossom Pet Scarf (Sakura Pet Scarf)
Requirements
- Yarn: Sport / DK weight yarn
- Color A: White
- Color B: Light Sakura Pink
- Crochet hook: 2.5–3.0 mm (adjust to tension)
- Scissors
- Yarn needle

- Gauge is not critical for this project.
- Adjust hook size to achieve a soft, flexible fabric suitable for pets.
Abbreviations (US Terms)

- sl st – slip stitch
- sc – single crochet
- dc – double crochet
- tr – treble crochet
- picot – picot stitch
- k – skip stitch
- v – increase in same stitch
- F – long double crochet (extended dc)
- Fw – long double crochet worked into chain space

Notes
- Cut yarn at the end of each round.
- Join new yarn and always work on the right side.
- Pattern is worked in rows forming decorative scallops.
Pattern
R1 (Color A – White)
Ch 69.
Starting from the 3rd ch from hook, work 3 sts into the same chain.
Repeat around:
(F, 2 ch, k2)
Stitch count increases in multiples of 6.
When 3 stitches remain, turn and work back.
R2 (Color A – White)
Work in pairs of chain spaces:
- First space: (Fw, 3 ch)
- Next space: (Fw, 1 ch)
Repeat across the row.
R3 (Color B – Light Sakura Pink)
Join yarn with sl st.
Work long dc (F) around the outer post of the long dc from R1.
Repeat around:
- Return to the 3-ch space from R2, work (4F, 3 ch, 4F)
- Sl st into 1 ch
- In the corresponding 1-ch below, work long dc around the outer post of R1
R4 (Color B – Light Sakura Pink)
Repeat around:
- On the outer long dc: outer long sc, k1, 3Fv
- Into the 3-ch space, work (3F, 1 ch, picot, 1 ch, 3F)
- 3Fv, k1
Four-Leaf Clover Ties
Clover Motif
Make a magic ring or ring start:
(2 ch, 2F, 2 ch, sl st) × 4 times
Tie Chain
Without cutting yarn, ch 140.
Leave a long tail, thread through the scarf body,
then crochet the second four-leaf clover at the other end
using the same instructions as above.
